Selling on eBay can be both rewarding and profitable, but there as many ways to fail as there are to succeed.
As a full-time eBay seller (since 1999), I can help you avoid making the same mistakes that I did. Some of the decisions that must be made early on, before one understands the rigors of the venue, can be very difficult to change later on.  Back-tracking is time-consuming and costly, so the fewer the wrong turns, the better.
This will be an open-ended conversation, guided by your concerns and interests.  I can talk to you about the eBay venue. eBay policy and culture, search visibility, selling costs, management software, including SixBit Software’s eCommerce Solution, Endicia, DAZzle.  We can discuss the pros and cons of PayPal versus other payment processors.  We can talk about ways to get discounts from shipping carriers, including USPS, UPS and FedEx.  I also have experience with eBay’s Global Shipping Program (GSP).  And much more.
There have been many times during my eBay career that I have wished that I could just talk to someone who had personal experience with the challenges at hand. – someone who had already walked the path. Every once in a while I had the pleasure to find such a person along the way.  I consider many of them to be treasures, because as I discovered, it is actually rather difficult to find someone who is willing to share their experience with me, even for a price.  Don’t get me wrong – there is no shortage of free conversation available, but it always seemed like the people who were talking the most were the least capable of helping me.
So now that I have done the time, and have arrived at a place that can be very difficult to reach, I believe I have something valuable to offer. Some may be able to achieve success by taking a path similar to mine, but not everyone will be willing or able to endure the journey.  It has taken me 17 years to do it the way that I did.  And I know, that if I had been able to find someone (like me) in my earlier days, I could have gone farther, faster.
So, with all of that in mind, I am offering my experience at an hourly rate.  The price shown is per hour of telephone consultation.  I believe that the going rate for such expertise is around $300 per hour, but I’m offering my services at an introductory rate of $150 per hour.  Once you have paid, I will ask you to send me your list of talking points.  Following that, we will arrange a mutually agreeable day and time for the call.  I will be happy to call you at any US phone number (and some international numbers) if that will save you a toll call.  I am willing to accommodate your schedule, within reason, but please be aware that I must expire unused hours after 30 days, so please keep that in mind.
